Transfer files without installing software or configuring a network

WolfP2P runs in current compatible browsers. There is no transfer application to install, account to create, FTP server to operate, shared folder to expose, or router port to forward.

The sender opens WolfP2P and creates a temporary tunnel. The receiver opens the privately shared link—or enters its six-character code—and chooses to join. The sender then offers the files, and the receiver reviews and accepts them.

This avoids the persistent setup commonly associated with network shares and file-transfer servers: user accounts, service installation, permissions, credentials, firewall rules, discovery settings, or a permanently available shared location.

“No setup” means no application installation, account, server, shared folder, or network configuration. You still decide which files WolfP2P may read and where it may write them. The browser may show a file picker, warning, or permission prompt to enforce those choices.

WolfP2P cannot silently browse the computer or bypass a denied permission. Read Why WolfP2P Asks for File and Folder Access for the exact access boundaries, or use Browser Folder Permissions if a prompt was denied or blocked.

The receiver also chooses where to save the files, and both computers must remain online while the live transfer runs. Full folder selection, direct destination writing, and durable disk-backed recovery depend on browser capabilities. Review Browser and OS Compatibility before a large folder transfer.

FTP, SFTP, SMB, and synchronization software can be better choices for recurring access, automation, managed permissions, or unattended transfers. WolfP2P is designed for a deliberate transfer between two people who are present at the same time.
